It looks like the iPhone 5 is such a hotly anticipated device that some people in Japan just couldn't wait for its official release. Three stores were hit in one night with a total of 191 iPhone 5 units being stolen. The total reported loss is around 7.45 million yen or $100,000. The security camera footage of one of the stores shows that this was done by a group of 3 people. It still remains to be seen if the police will be successful in catching the robbers as there is no update on that yet.
