Samsung have at last finalized the volume bug fix update and started to roll it out on the devices Over The Air. This update finally resolves the issue which made the Galaxy Nexus to automatically change its volume when placed next to another phone. If you haven't received the update notification yet, don't worry because you will hopefully get it in a day or two.

Google Maps 6.0
The latest version of Google Maps, 6.0, has been released recently by Google. This new version is said to bring indoors navigation too. Google have stated that this new version can help you find your way around malls, airports, etc. and it can also detect which floor you're on so as to provide better details of your surroundings. Sounds good? Well, go ahead and give it a try.
Exynos 5250 for Samsung
Samsung have announced the latest chipset that will be used in their upcoming high-end phones and tablets. The new chipset has been named as Exynos 5250 and it contains 2 cores of 2 GHz processing power each. Samsung claim that the new chipset is able to provide 2 times the performance of the previous one, which is being used in Galaxy S II. They also say that the graphics chip provides 4 times performance of the previous one and it can also support Stereoscopic 3D. It is also said to support resolutions of up-to 2560x1600. I know all of this sounds truly awesome, but we have to wait because the mass production of this chipset will start in Q2 of 2012, which also means we will probably see a Samsung Galaxy S III around then. LG Optimus 2X Gingerbread Update
At lats, it seems that LG have decided that the first ever dual-core phone should have a taste of Gingerbread before having some Ice Cream Sandwich. Volume bug fix for Nexus, unofficial
Recently, we found out that the Samsung Galaxy Nexus had a volume bug which made it change its volume continuously when placed next to another phone. However, an official update is in the works. If you just can't wait for the official update, then you might want to check this out. This is an unofficial fix for the volume bug, follow the instructions and you will hopefully be able to resolve the issue on your device. Of course, this is an unofficial fix so please do at your own risk.
ICS for Sony Ericsson phones
Sony Ericsson have announced that they will finalize and launch the Android 4.0 update to its phones in March 2012. If you own the Xperia Arc S, Xperia Arc, Xperia Play, Xperia Neo, Xperia Neo V, Xperia Mini, Xperia Mini Pro, Xperia Pro, Xperia Active, Xperia Ray or the Xperia Live with Walkman then you need not worry as Sony Ericsson are working for the update for your phone. Samsung S8600 Wave 3 Launched
The folks at Samsung have officially released the new flagship phone for their very own Bada OS and it is titled as S8600 Wave 3. The phone has been launched globally today so all the people who were waiting for this can now purchase it. The Wave 3 features a 4" Super AMOLED screen, Bada OS 2.0, 1.4 GHz processor and a 5 megapixels camera with LED flash and 720p video recording.

LG have just announced that they will surely bring the latest version of Android, Ice Cream Sandwich, to its top-of-the-line handsets including Optimus 3D, Optimus 2x, Optimus Black and Optimus LTE. The exact schedule for the updates will be released by LG sometime in December. So, LG users should just keep their fingers crossed and hope that LG provides them with the much awaited-for update as soon as possible.

Update for Samsung Galaxy S2
It seems that the guys at Samsung really want to provide the best service for their current flagship, the Samsung Galaxy S2 I9100. They already have this phone on the list for providing an Ice Cream Sandwich update, but while they are working on that they have provided an update for the residents in Mexico for Android 2.3.6. This update is said to bring better boot time and increased performance compared to the previous version and some other tweaks as well. The update is currently only available in Mexico but it might become available in other countries as well. This update is available through the Samsung Kies software for unlocked handsets. Even if you don't live in Mexico, you can try to check for the update through the Kies software.

BlackBerry PlayBook update
The guys at RIM have released a software update for the BlackBerry PlayBook. This update brings newer versions of Adobe Flash and Adobe Air to the device along with some tweaks for the Wi-Fi and Bluetooth connectivity. There have also been some changes for the daylight savings settings for the regions of Latin America, Central America and Australia. If you haven't yet received an update notification or haven't updated, you can manually check for the update by going to the Settings menu -> Software Updates.
Symbian Belle update for Nokia C7
The Nokia C7 has just got an unofficial update to the latest Symbian version, aka Belle. If you guys own a C7 but just can't wait for the official update to be released, then I suggest you try it out (at your own risk, of course). You need to have the latest Phoenix tool and your phone should currently be on Symbian Anna for the update to successfully install. King of Fighters XIII
For the fans of the King of Fighters series, you will be delighted to hear that the latest installment in the series has been released on the Xbox 360 and the PS3. Updates for Lumia 800
It seems that Nokia isn't going to sit quietly when there have been numerous complaints of the not-so-good battery life of their current flagship, the Lumia 800. Nokia has promised to release two updates for the phone, one in December and one in January next year. These updates will bring improved battery and better charging for the phones. Let's wait and see.
Ivy Bridge by Intel
Intel has been working on a new series of processors, codenamed Ivy Bridge, which is the 22nm die-shrink of the current Sandy Bridge series. These processors are promised to come with more improvements and support for PCI Express 3.0 slots. Intel will be releasing more details about Ivy Bridge on the ISSC (International Solid-State Circuits) Conference which is scheduled to sometime in February 2012. So let's wait and see what Intel will reveal next year for its customers and what improvements will it bring for the end consumer.
Offline maps for Nokia
Good news for the owners of Nokia Windows Phone devices. Nokia is currently working on an update to Nokia Drive (GPS Navigation through Nokia Maps) which will allow the users to use the navigation software even without connecting to the Internet. Currently Nokia Drive is only available for use by connecting your phone to the Internet or by downloading your required regions to your local storage. It still waits to be seen when the update will roll out but it would be much appreciated by many who don't have monthly data plans from their service provider or a constant Wi-Fi connection.

2K Games has been working on a new title which is set to release some time in 2012. The new game will be coming to PC, Xbox 360 and PS3. The game is based in Dubai where the main protagonist Captain Walker looks to find US Army Colonel John Konrad. Kinect for Windows
Those people who don't own a Xbox 360 gaming console but still love and want to use Kinect, don't worry because Microsoft is working on a Kinect solution to be used with the upcoming Windows 8. This new Kinect is said to be smaller than its Xbox sibling and its camera will be able to focus on subjects at the range of 50 cm. This is great news and we can see that Microsoft is really looking to provide us with new ways to interact with our computers.
